Spreading Awareness One Bracelet At A Time

who are we ?

Hi! Our names are Sara Kendall Ann Kearney and Emmely Texcucano. We met while in treatment in-patient at Robert Wood Johnson hospital.  We came up with this project during our stay and wanted  to help others who struggle with eating disorders just like we do. We make and sell handmade jewelry and handmade knitted products to raise money for NEDA. This is a non-profit organization focused on raising awareness for eating disorders one bracelet at a time! All profits go to NEDA, the National Eating Disorder Association which is an organization that is very close to our hearts. Each bracelet, keychain, and scarf is hand made by the two of us.

Hai! So here I am being emotionally vulnerable. WOOHOO. My name is Emmely Texcucano. I have an eating disorder, OCD, and depression. I'm 16 and currently in recovery. I'm the cofounder of this project with Sara! I was hospitalized last summer for 4 months where I was officially diagnosed and met Sara, who became a close friend. We came up with this while we were both inpatient in RWJ. We just wanted to do something that could help people like us who went through similar experiences in any form whether it's outpatient or inpatient. Neda was a non profit thats helped us a lot. I wanted to give back and do something that could help others with an eating disorder and raise awareness of the issue. I’m struggling to manage my own recovery, junior year, mental problems, and ptsd, but I want to do this.

Hi! My name is Sara Kendall Ann Kearney and I’m 20. I have anorexia and bulimia nervosa disorder. I am cofounder of this project with Emmely! I’ve been dealing with these illnesses for years and have been hospitalized three times due to them. In one hospitalization I met Emmely and we became close friends. We came up with this organization while we were inpatient. Each day brings a new challenge and I remind myself that recovery is not linear. So now we are trying to pay it forward to help others who struggle with eating disorders just like we do!
